Penelokan-Kintamani is a part of Bangli Regency, around 2 hours drive from Denpasar. Penelokan is the best place to view active Mount Batur and lake at the bottom of the crater. Batur Caldera arund 7 miles in diameter and 60 feet deep. There is road down from Penelokan to Kedisan village where you can hire the boat for crossing Lake Batur to Trunyan Village, the ancient village inhabited by original Balinese called “Bali Aga”. At Trunyan Village you can find the Pusering Jagat Temple with unique architecture stands under a massive banyan tree. Pusering Jagat mean the center of Bali island. Beside the unique temple, you can find also the unique burial for the local people died at Trunyan Village, where the body dead just laid down on the land and the face facing to the sky, under the Menyan Tree. The body died doens’t spread bad smell surrounding the area.
